Based on the technology of desiccant coated heat exchanger (DCHE) and combined with evaporative cooler, establishes a self-cooled desiccant air conditioning system. Verifies and analyses the feasibility and dehumidification performance of the air conditioning system under the summer condition in Shanghai. In this system, evaporative cooler is used to produce cooling water by dry air. The cooling water carries out the absorption heat from dehumidification process, at the same time, the supply system of recovery hot water by solar energy realizes the desiccant regeneration in the desiccant coated heat exchanger. The experimental results show that the average moisture removal and thermodynamic performance coefficient are 8.11 g/kg and 0.51, respectively. While at the same other parameters, the moisture removal and thermodynamic performance coefficient increase significantly with the increase of humidity ratio of inlet air.
